And God Said

In the beginning God created….And God said…. And God called…And it was so… if you ever look at my bible you will see these words underlined in Genesis chapter 1 throughout the chapter. It is a teaching and counseling illustration that I have people do in order to demonstrate the power and goodness of God.
It shows the power as God created all that we see just by speaking the words. His spoken word took an atmosphere or complete darkness and turned it into the light and heart of the universe.
This also demonstrates that there is truly nothing impossible for God. I always ask after reading this chapter and having the person(s) to underline those words why they think God can’t handle their problems.
We can find hope in knowing that there is nothing that is too much for God. We can have faith in understanding that if God speaks it, it is so. And we can declare victory when Jesus said it was finished that the power of sin was forever broken and for those who choose to believe will be saved and spend all of eternity in a place of fellowship and peace.
Today’s devotion was a bit different. I quoted scripture but did not include the locations wording. So today, I want each of you to read Genesis chapter 1, and highlight or underline the words of God’s actions in that chapter. Then I want you to go back and reread the chapter with those those words alone. But before you start to read it I want you to pray and ask the Lord to allow you to truly see him and all that he has done for you.
When he does and you’re eyes are opened to seeing his awesome power and love please let me know how it changed the perspective of your life and problems.
Remember that Brenda and I love you and that God does too.
God bless you and thank you again for all of your support.
