Encounter An Abundant Life By A Daily Walk With Christ

I want to personally thank you for visiting the site. You can find Today’s Devotion by clicking on the link at the top of the page or can follow the site by leaving your email in the Follow My Blog box in the right hand margin.

We live in a world today wrought with pain, worry, fear, anxiety, and hatred. Even as believers we can still struggle. The bible declares in Ephesians 3:20,

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”

Several years ago, I struggled mightily in life. I had to retire from the job that I loved and endured great physical pain, emotional distress, my marriage and finances were on the brink of destruction, and I tried to commit suicide.

I had forgotten that verse in Ephesians like many others as I had not read the bible or attended church in quite some time. But one day I was invited to the church I am proud to call my home for the past 11 years. I recommitted my life to Christ and began a dedicated devotion to follow Christ example.

Today because of God’s grace and mercy, I find myself married to a beautiful woman for 28 years. We serve the Lord together, a few short years ago I became an ordained pastor and am currently counseling people in addiction and other life struggles using the same Word of God that helped change my life.

What I have found out since the day years ago that I tried to forfeit what God had given me is just how blessed I was and am today. GOD IS ABLE to do more than we can hope, think, or imagine. There is truly nothing impossible for God. With his help and a committed relationship with Christ we can proclaim as the apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13,

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

It is my hope that through this site that you will find inspiration and encouragement to live the life that God has planned for each of us. Life is filled with peaks and valleys; Triumphs and defeats. But one thing that remains is the love of our creator and assurance of eternal life for those who believe.

Jesus Christ told his disciples in John 16:33 that,

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Through all of our struggles in life we can face the greatest storms knowing that God is there with us and is walking ahead of us. We can find victory in Christ. Through a daily walk with Christ we can find strength, comfort, and joy. There is also a peace in knowing that Jesus Christ has overcome the world; shed his blood on the cross, and in doing so gave us the opportunity at eternal life.

One of the greatest joys in life as a Pastoral and Christian Counselor, is seeing someone respond to the gospel in a counseling situation. And to see them thrive in their relationship and walk with Christ. If you’d like to engage in counseling feel free to contact us through the contact page.

We still find hope, knowing that as believers we have been forgiven by God’s grace and through his mercy demonstrated on the cross. As Jesus spoke the words, “it is finished”, the power of sin was forever broken and we can experience forgiveness that we will never truly know the cost.

It is my hope that by visiting this site you will be encouraged to find a daily walk with Christ. He is our hope, and he is our salvation. In Christ we can find peace as we take a daily walk with him; growing in wisdom of him, God’s word, prayer, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for stopping by and please follow my site and share with your friends. This site is about sharing the love and message of Christ to all who will listen. And helping those struggling with finding hope and healing through the word of God in counseling.

If you would like to accept Christ, have questions concerning salvation, or have a prayer request you can leave a message through our contact page. Or reach us at Jeff.adailywalkwithchrist@gmail.com

  1. “Life is filled with peaks and valleys; Triumphs and defeats. But one thing that remains is the love of our creator and assurance of eternal life for those who believe.” With the hindsight of a retiree, I can say, AMEN! Praise God for his love–expressed as he guides, provides, and blesses–just as you’ve said, WAY beyond what we could have asked for or imagined. As followers of Jesus we do indeed enjoy an abundant life! God bless you, Jeff and Brenda, in the work God has given you to do. P.S. Thank you very much for becoming a follower of my blog, From the Inside Out. I pray you’ll find the posts meaningful.
